Mats has been appointed as a partner at Cadanz in the fall of 2024. He has joined the firm in September 2017 as a trainee lawyer. Previously, he has been a trainee lawyer for one year with another law firm.
Mats became a key player in our corporate law department, focusing on mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. In addition, Mats also developed a particular experience in commercial law and dispute resolution, with a focus on market practices and the energy sector.
While at Cadanz, he has taken up a part-time secondment at one of Belgium’s largest energy providers for a period of over two years. During this time, Mats acted as in-house legal counsel in commercial law matters. This has enabled him to further develop his skills to provide sound legal advice for a variety of daily issues and concerns of a company, often as member of a dedicated project team.
Mats has obtained a general master degree in law (KU Leuven 2016) and has joined the bar in the same year. He has obtained an additional master degree in corporate law (KU Leuven 2018).
